Roughly 1.2 million public servants have had debt erased since 2007. The count that gets you there just moved.‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

PANDORA’S BOX
EVERYTHING GOT OUT. THE HOPE IS AT THE BOTTOM.
THE ONE-WAY DOOR
Ten Years Of Payments, And The Count Went Backwards
Forgiveness arrives after a hundred twenty qualifying payments. The Education Department is recounting them, and it is not saying why.
The number was never yours. It lives in a federal account and tells you how close you are. Public Service Loan Forgiveness wipes the federal debt of government and nonprofit workers after a hundred twenty qualifying payments. Ten years.
This month people started checking and finding fewer. One borrower posted that the count had fallen from nearly a hundred twenty to ninety four. A New York nonprofit that helps borrowers says several of its clients saw drops. The Department calls them coding errors left by the previous administration.
FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX
The economy is swinging up and down like crazy. Markets can’t find a floor. Gas prices are through the roof. And your retirement account changes every time you check it.
Here’s the truth nobody wants to say. This is bigger than Trump. You can’t fix 60 years of irresponsible government spending in two years.
Even Trump admitted when he took office “there could be some pain.”
But what if there’s a shortcut?
Buried in a little-known document from Trump’s economic agenda, there’s what some experts are calling a “reset switch.” One executive action that could fundamentally reshape the entire economy.
No vote. No Congress. One signature.
Why should you care?
Because the Americans who position themselves before he flips that switch could make a fortune.
And this isn’t some complicated Wall Street strategy. If you can read this email, you can take advantage of it.
A free report explains exactly what this reset is, how it works, and the simple step to get positioned.
Most people will ignore it. They’ll trust the talking heads on TV and hope for the best.
But if you think there’s even a small chance this could happen, isn’t it worth 10 minutes to find out?

Errors get corrected in both directions, and the servicers say some counts will go up. That is not the part that matters. Borrowers are not being told why their own number changed. Without a reason you cannot check the work.
Here is what a lower count actually costs. You do not just wait longer. The program requires you to still be working for a qualifying employer when the forgiveness lands. So a count that drops by two years is two more years in the lower paying job you took to earn it.
We graded this CLOSING rather than SEALED because a reconsideration request exists and counts do get restored. The months do not come back. Whoever turned down a private offer last spring because the number said ninety percent made that call on the Department’s arithmetic.
EVERY LEAD PASSES BEFORE IT RUNS
The One-Way-Door Test
01
Can it be undone?
A reconsideration request goes back to the Department, and some counts are restored. The years already spent in the job are not.
CLOSING
02
Who is already repositioning?
A New York assistance program is telling borrowers to screenshot their counts. A higher education analyst says no explanations are being given.

03
What does being late cost?
About 1.2 million people have cleared an average of nearly seventy five thousand dollars this way. Proof is easier to keep than to rebuild.
ONGOING
THE MOVE · WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME
Screenshot your payment count today, from your Federal Student Aid account, before anything else moves. Download the bank statements that show every payment you made. File the employer certification form once a year and keep your own copy. And if your count already dropped, a reconsideration request goes to the Department and costs nothing but the time to write it.
If the Department starts publishing the reason behind each adjustment, or restores counts on reconsideration inside a normal window, this reading weakens. We will say so.

Every payment you ever made left a record somewhere that is not theirs. Your bank still has it. That copy is the one they do not get to recount.
