PANDORA’S BOX
EVERYTHING GOT OUT. THE HOPE IS AT THE BOTTOM.

THE ONE-WAY DOOR
Every Revision This Year Has Gone Down
The August 28 benchmark revision erased another seventy nine thousand jobs. Friday brings the next count.
Read the year in order. March added two hundred fourteen thousand jobs. April added one hundred forty eight. May sixty three. June twenty. July lost twenty three thousand.
Those are the Labor Department’s own published figures as they stand this morning. Not a forecast, not a model, and not anybody’s projection. That is the official series read straight down the column.

JOBS THE COUNTRY LOST IN JULY

The July report had already cut one hundred three thousand from earlier months. Friday’s August benchmark took another seventy nine. |

FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX
Dear Reader,
Take a look at Elon Musk’s new patent below…
Because it protects a new invention that could rewrite the future of wealth forever.
I’m talking about a radical new form of AI I call “M.A.G.I.”
One so revolutionary that Elon called it an “infinite money glitch.”
What’s the upside potential here?
I know this is going to sound crazy…
But Elon is projecting growth of over 7,000,000%.
Let that sink in.
That’s enough to turn $100 into more than $7 million.
This sounds absolutely insane.
But then again… everything Elon has ever done sounded insane at first.
Self-driving cars.
Reusable rockets that land themselves.
Brain chips that let paralyzed people control computers with their minds.
Crazy ideas.
But he turned them into trillion-dollar realities.
So here’s the real question…
Will you watch Elon build another empire from the sidelines…
Or will you finally position yourself to potentially become one of the winners in his next trillion-dollar revolution?
We have so much to look forward to,

Here is the part worth holding onto. Revisions are supposed to run both ways. New payroll records arrive late, the statisticians true up the count, and sometimes the number goes up.
In every revision published this year, the number has only gone down.
A benchmark revision is not an opinion being updated. It rewrites what the country believes already happened. The jobs it removes were counted, reported, and used to make decisions.
What was counted in those months does not come back.
Ordinary investors appear to sense it already. A survey last week put small investors at their most bearish in two months, while the index held up. The people who feel a labor market first do not read benchmark revisions.
Now be fair about what this is not. One negative month is not a recession, and forecasters expect August to come in positive, somewhere near eighty to ninety thousand. A single print settles nothing.
What matters is which direction the corrections keep pointing. A forecast that misses in both directions can be set aside. When a correction only ever subtracts, that is a measurement problem. Measurement problems compound.
Your end of it runs through the Federal Reserve. Twelve people read these numbers before they meet on September 16. The number they read Friday will not be the final one. It never is.

EVERY LEAD PASSES BEFORE IT RUNS
The One-Way-Door Test
| 01 |
Can it be undone?
A strong August print would break the run, and forecasters expect one. The line has been approached, not crossed.
| 02 |
Who is already repositioning?
Rate hike odds jumped after Warsh spoke Friday. Gold gave back about three percent from its high in the same session.
| 03 |
What does being late cost?
Friday at half past eight in the morning, Eastern time. That print sits in front of the Fed on September 16.

THE MOVE · WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME
Write down that July lost twenty three thousand jobs, then check Friday what the new report says July was.
The August headline gets all the coverage. Look instead at the revised July line, which tells you whether any of this is a trend.

Gold slipped about three percent after the Fed chair spoke on Friday. It had been near forty six hundred ninety seven dollars before the speech. |

The head of the Bank of England warned that the newest AI models threaten global financial stability. He runs the institution that would have to clean it up. |

France now borrows at close to its 2008 cost. Europe has a sovereign debt problem again and it has a name. |

WHAT’S LEFT AT THE BOTTOM
You will read Friday’s headline knowing which line underneath it actually matters. Almost everyone else will read the big number and stop there.
